My hilarious – and charming – niece

Spells the name of the common backyard critter: SQUAEL. (She lives in Maine; thus the accent — I’m pretty impressed with her spelling, actually.)

Also, learning persuasive writing in school:

Dear Mom,

I really bad want a snugful pet hamster, because I feel lonely and my brother is boring and I would not let the daycare [kids] touch it.

The first reason I would like a hamster is because it can teach me responsibility. I will do my chores, always, I promise. I will clean my room as good as it’s cage. I will give it food and water when needed.

The second reason I would like a hamster is that it can teach me about hamsters. For math, I would learn how long it will take to have babies. For reading, I would learn more about it from the library. For writing, I would take notes about it and write a report.
Last but not least, I promise to keep my hands washed after I play with it. I will not let K. play with it when I am not home so that he will not hurt K. If my hamster gets sick, I will pay for the medicine.
I hope you will say yes after reading this. If you do I will be joyful happy.
Love,
your charming child, Jaden

Snugful.
Can I just say that again?

Snugful.
