The Less-Awful Project: Kitchen

It will never be the kitchen of my dreams (ie. my grandmother’s kitchen): it has bad lighting, inconvenient cabinets, clunky appliances, and no counter-space. And it was very, very dingy. But it could certainly be less dreadful. Paul and I had way too much fun doodling on the cabinets with paint samples (alas, I forgot to take pictures of the crazy drawings). But I did finally get serious and settle on colors.

The ideal kitchen will look like a blue glass bottle, but since this is not the ideal kitchen, instead it looks like chocolate cake with fancy powdered sugar. Some of it is cranberry-red, here and there, but not anywhere where it would be alarming first thing in the morning.
