A new list for the new year

A new list for the new year

So, at the end of January I went to the big official 2-day seminar on open adoptions.  I gave the agency a lot of money, and they gave me a long list of things to do.

The list is pretty amazing.  It will take 3-6 months, they tell me.  That’s if I’m organized and don’t procrastinate.  None of it is hard to do, exactly… it’s just that all of it is stuff that would be easier to not-do.  So I’m organizing my lists, writing them down everywhere, and planning some celebrations for when I’ve actually done some number of things.

I haven’t discussed my family planning, so to speak, on the blog much, because while I working with fertility clinics it was always so dramatic and so uncertain, and so many plans have changed.  But I am very, very grateful for the patience and kindness of all of my friends and family while I’ve been walking this long, weird road.
