It’s a good agency. I like their politics – they’re friends with Planned Parenthood, and the nature of open adoption means they don’t discriminate against gay couples. Or singles, for that matter. They were honest and up-front about the expenses involved. They focus on the birthmother and what she needs.

But you know what decided it? They told us we were parents, already. Just parents who are waiting to meet their child. And that was all it took. I’m in.
