Amy and her family had vacation time planned, and joy of joys, they came here to visit! Durham may not be everybody’s idea of a fabulous vacation destination, but I have to say, March in North Carolina is just impossibly beautiful.

Little Bea was just hilarious the whole time they were here. Amy (who won’t mind my saying so) always looks like she’s vaguely puzzled by her daughter, and no wonder. This kid is all about the pink sparkle (where the heck did that come from??) but I have to say, the grand sense of drama, well, she definitely got that from her mom.

Amy and I were best friends in middle school, and stayed close through high school, but by freshman year of college we were so far away from one another, physically, and in every way, really… we just kind of lost track of each other. But when we found each other again, we re-connected just like magic, and the nearly 20 years that passed between somehow didn’t even take very long to explain.

Boy were we bad news in sunday school. hee hee hee.
