Well, there we go…  I’ve turned in my very first writing assignment for a graduate class in …  sheesh, 15 years.  The professor only said to bring “something” written about John Dewey, who happens to be my very favorite philosopher of education.  She didn’t say to write an essay.  So I didn’t.  But everybody else wrote an essay, so I now I’m a little anxious.  I hope she doesn’t think I wasn’t taking the assignment seriously!  But it was so hard to get started, and I was afraid I’d simply run out of time.  So instead, I wrote my response as a letter to Amy, who tolerates this dreadful behavior from me with the patience of an angel.
