Uh-oh!   Guess who has a boyfriend!?  Or shall we say, a “boooooooyfriend?”

We had a couple of very serious talks about the kinds of objections parents and other adults might have about certain kinds of behavior, and I suggested that one really fun thing to do with a boy is HOMEWORK.

“Parents love that,” I told her.  “If you and your boyfriend do homework together, first of all, it will make the homework a lot more fun, and secondly, they’ll see that he’s a nice, responsible kid and then maybe you’ll actually be allowed to go on a date.  Someday.  With a chaperone.”
