Is it cheating to re-post?  It’s all still true  – more and more so.   Christi, Jaden and Kyler came here this year, and Paul did the cooking.  The weather has been really unseasonably warm (thanks, climate change!  sorry, polar bears….) so we spent a lot of time outside.

We also spent a lot of time gettin’ crafty with the gnomes…

  

Please note the lovely kitchen-chests for keeping “plates,” seeds, etc.  They are made of hinged walnut shells – yes, that’s walnut shells joined with tiny little hinges -  which my grandfather made when I was about Jaden’s age.  I’ve kept a handful ever since, because I was sure they’d be really useful for something but it had to be exactly the right project.  And lo!  The right project appears!
