Summer is winding up, the fall semester is picking up speed, and Paul and I both had a stress-cloud just hanging over us all the time.  So we decided to run away from home.

After work on Friday we called a catsitter, jumped in the car and headed west into the mountains.  We had a gorgeous overnight in Boone, NC.  Not to mention the best donuts I have ever had.  Ever. 

Back home now, with cats all contented, and feeling a lot more like ourselves again.
