Eno Festival
All day Saturday at the Festival for the Eno.  This is an annual event with half a dozen stages for three days of music, plus food, crafts, a working historic mill, activities, vendors, and  – of course – the river itself, for canoeing, wading, and generally enjoying.
We started out by walking through the the whole area to get an idea of what was where, and then we settled our picnic blanket in a shady spot by the stage nearest to the river. Â We had a lovely, leisurely day. Â The kids had their own spending money, so they took turns wandering the fair on their own to browse and ponder what they liked best. Â We also spent at least an hour just wading around in the river, trying to catch minnows. Â The kids brought books, and got to hear some pretty good bands, too!
