My very first Christmas with kids in my house — and, oh, it was wonderful! There were many, many, many, many presents. I think I’ll be taking out the recycling til Easter….
My top favorite moments:
– a long, long walk to the park with Mike and the kids
– late nights playing Cooking Mama on the Wii with Christi
– early mornings watching the Lone Ranger with Kyler (he wakes up early)
– Jaden and Kyler helping me make BLTs for the family for dinner. We made a restaurant with menus and everything.

And then there was a wonderful trip north to Virginia – the aquarium and museums were excellent, and we got to explore and play. Jaden counted sixty-something mermaids all around the town! And the whole family loved the exhibit about the pirate ship Whydah.

I love being able to share holidays with my grown-up family, with all our shared memories of holidays in the past – and with the kids, with all the bright, new, joy they bring.
