So I had a (small) epiphany for Epiphany. At the end of the day I’d been really angry with my boss for being high-handed and abrupt in an email – not directly to me, but to someone else. I was about to send a snippy email back, and then at the last minute I didn’t – partly because I’d prefer not to be fired, but also because I was remembering that it’s not a good idea to send snippy emails when angry. By the time I got to my car, I’d realized that in fact I kind of set the whole situation up – some things in my previous emails very likely made it seem like the situation was a contentious one, and it wasn’t, and didn’t need to be. And I was pestering about some trivial stuff when there’s more important and stressful stuff going on.

Totally my bad. I’m glad I caught that tiger before it got loose….
