RAAAR mmm sshhhhh
 Nova’s
It says RAAAAR! And then it says Mmmmmmmmm.    Shhhhhhhhhhh.
Saturday evening she was all worn out and more than ready to go to bed. Karen got the room ready and Xak brushed his teeth, and Paul and Ken and I were sitting outside on the deck chairs, looking at the evening. Nova climbed into my lap.
“Moon!” she said.
“Yup, there’s the moon. Say night-night to the moon.”
“Nightnightmoon.” She started to settle into my arms and then decided she wanted to be wrapped up in a beach towel. So I’ve got her all wrapped up in a big towel, lying in my arms, and she’s looking up at the moon, and at me, and I said, “What does the ocean say?”
And she whispered, “raarrr…shhhhhh” and fell asleep.
Ken said, “Remember this moment. Because it will seem weird when she’s 25.”
Dude, so right about that.
These photos are Nova modeling the hat I knit for Xak when he was smaller. It’s meant to look sort of like a beehive, and there’s a little bee sewn on the side.Â
She laughed herself silly doing peek-a-boo with the hat down over her eyes.
