Christmas knitting, that is.  You gotta start in July to have any hope of finishing by Christmas!  :)

I am posting this particularly because I think I was very clever.  (Yup, tooting my own horn, here.)  So, I’m working on a sweater for a little sweetie pie I know, and I was using this cool self-patterning sock yarn.  That’s the kind of yarn where you just knit along, and the colors in the yarn make a complicated pattern all by themselves.  Only it’s meant for socks, and knitting a different-sized piece meant the colors were going all weird and mixed up, and not making a pattern at all.  So I found a way to adapt the sweater pattern so that I could work it up in long panels…  so the pattern shows… and lined up the panels so the pattern carries across…  Yup, clever.
